Suicide alone destroys family and friends, but it also brings people together for a caues. to remember that peron...but what if that person was gay, and their family was/is against it? what if they were shunned for simply loving another?  Out of the 5,000 completed suicides a year, over 2,000 of them are by gay and lesbian teens.  Also gay and lesbian teens are 2 to 3 times more likely to try to commit suicide than straight teens.  Honestly i was thrown back when i saw these numbers. I think that people who are going through this. whether it be a son, daughter, sister, brother, or a friend, people need closure. they need a place to go to be able to talk about their feelings.  this is a home for them, where they can connect with other families and friends, and know that we as gay, lesbian,bisexual, and transgender teens need support. we need help, and we need eachother.
